Day 8: Spirit Lake, IA

Short message tonight — spent a lovely day relaxing with Auntie Barb and Uncle Roger and dad. Went to “the grade” to look at the water, then took a picnic to Elinor Bedell State Park and watched birds for a bit.

Sat out on the deck for happy hour/bird watching, and then early to bed tonight — all that sun and wind tuckered us all out!

However, before I go, I have to acquaint you all with the wonderful University of Okoboji, home of the undefeated Fighting Phantoms (FYI, I’m an alumna). If you’d like to attend the U of O, too, just complete the entrance exam. Once you’ve finished your “classes,” you’re entitled to buy and wear U of O official gear.
